Introduction to Automotive Air Conditioning Compressors
The refrigeration system of an automobile's air conditioning system is powered by the compressor. It contributes to the transportation and compression of refrigerant vapor.Compressors come in two varieties: variable displacement and fixed displacement. Air conditioning compressors can be classified as fixed displacement compressors or variable displacement compressors based on their respective operating principles. The following is the introduction of fixed displacement compressors for cars: 1. Fixed displacement compressors' displacement rises in direct proportion to engine speed; they are unable to automatically adjust their power output to meet refrigeration demands, which significantly increases engine fuel consumption;
2. Typically, temperature indications from the evaporator output are collected and used to manage it. The compressor's electromagnetic clutch releases and it shuts off when the temperature reaches the predetermined point; on the other hand, when the temperature rises, the electromagnetic clutch engages and the compressor kicks on. The air conditioning system's pressure also regulates the constant displacement compressor. The compressor shuts off when the pipeline pressure reaches an excessive level.
